True Colors Pop-Up: Moments of Pride Celebrating Local Talent Through the Art of Savoir-Faire

From February 8th to February 10th, we organized True Colors Pop-Up at The Fridge, Al Serkal Avenue. Our event aimed to celebrate local and regional designers and emerging businesses. Over three days, we showcased a variety of fashion items, such as preloved luxury bags, abayas, jewelry, glamorous ensembles, and more. We also hosted inspiring talks and panel discussions on various topics such as fashion, business empowerment, and sustainability in fashion and furniture. I personally believe that the road to successful entrepreneurship is through knowledge, hence I've included these inspiring talks discussed by Christine Assoud - CEO of Dunkin' Lebanon, and Semsom, Hadeel Khateeb, Alia Azrak, Carole Sukar, and more female entrepreneurs.

The event featured live art and design performances by Nour Bazerbashi, Alya El Sanad, and Alia Bent Sultan. Our sponsor, Le Coin Rose, added a special spirit to the setup through their flowers and bouquets, matching the theme of True Colors, which focused on growth, bloom, and beauty.

The doors were open to fashionistas, bloggers, and influencers such as Rawan Bin Hussain, Zeina Khoury, Natasha Aris, Sharis Shir, Mariam AlYassi, Wadih Elnajjar, Tamarah Al-Gabbani, and more who graced the Pop-Up and gave the designers the exposure needed by highlighting their designs and pieces through their socials.

On the other hand, the designers' installations, panel discussions, workshops, and more connected them with their audience, allowing them to understand the stories behind their creations. We also paid tribute to Palestine through art and fashion, featuring a local photographer and showcasing Palestinian embroidered pieces with cultural patterns and techniques representing their traditions, handcrafted by Palestinian women.

This event was planned and executed by my team at Savoir Arabia with a vision to empower new talents and give them the space and exposure needed to showcase their creations and designs. And what made me happy and full of pride was seeing my daughter Mayelle showcasing her emerging business Luxury By Meem, and making it a mother-daughter collaboration we’ve longed for a while.

Regarding the planning and the marketing, it was a one-of-a-kind experience, mainly experiential, getting to discover what works and what doesn't. As marketing, we elevated our online and offline strategy through different mediums such as social media campaigns and outdoor including billboards that were set in busy areas all over Dubai which caught attention and increased visibility.

What makes me pleased about all this hard work we put into True Colors is the positive feedback of the designers who joined us, and the connections they've built with potential customers and partners, in addition to the results they've achieved and the sales they've made through the three days. This event stands out in my portfolio and my company's Savoir Arabia vision, which aims to present all that resonates and connects with ultimate luxury and elegance through the art of Savoir-faire.
